For Cynthia's 50th Birthday, we went to San Diego in lieu of a big party.  We spent 3 days and 2 nights at Humphrey's Half-Moon Inn, located in the heart of the San Diego Yacht Harbor on Shelter Island.  Our activities included a visit to The Juan Cabrillo National Monument, Sea World, Balboa Park, The Embarcadero, where we ate at Anthony's Fish Grotto, and bicycling along the waterfront by our hotel.
